Charming Treats
Anyone else here a cereal fan? This is my daughter’s favorite. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t sneak a bowl every now and again. But my favorite? The marshmallows, of course ๐
With just 4 easy ingredients and 10 minutes, you can have these yummy treats whipped up for an afternoon snack if you start right now! Let’s get to the kitchen, shall we?
These crispy treats are so good, and perfect for an afternoon sugar craving when you don’t feel like baking or cooking stove top.
The prep and cook time is minimal, and if you put these in the fridge, you can speed up that set time and enjoy a lot sooner. I may or may not have cut one after 15 minutes. Sorry. Just couldn’t wait! ๐
Ingredients:
- 6 cups Marshmallow Mateys or Lucky Charms (or your favorite marshmallow-y cereal!)
- 10 oz bag marshmallows
- 1/4 cup butter (I used salted butter but unsalted is fine too)
- 1 tsp vanilla
Instructions:
- Spray a 9×13 dish with non-stick spray and set aside.
- In a microwave safe bowl, melt the butter for about 30 seconds, then stir until completely melted.
- Add in the marshmallows, and microwave in 15-30 second increments, stirring after each.
- Once completely melted and incorporated with the butter, pour in cereal and and stir to evenly coat.
- Gently press the mixture into the bottom of the dish, using a spatula sprayed with non-stick spray for easy release. Let sit for 2 hours until cool and then cut into bars!
Enjoy!
