I’ve got my favorite brownie recipe ever for you to try today. I’ve made so many brownie recipes but this one is the one I always come back to. They’re delicious, and super easy! Let’s get started. 
 
First up we’re going to melt the butter for 30 seconds, then stir until the last chunks are gone.

Now, add the sugars, and stir, followed by eggs, & vanilla.

Now for the flour, salt, cocoa, and then chocolate chips.

Isn’t that a gorgeous batter? I could eat it just by itself. Or take a swim in it. Okay, moving along. It’s time to spread it into the pan and bake!

And done. Perfection. Seriously.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup melted butter (salted)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs (room temp)
  • 1/2 tbsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup semisweet or milk chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/4-1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)


Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a microwave safe bowl, melt butter for 30 seconds. Stir until the last chunks of butter are melted.
  3. Add in sugars & stir
  4. Add in eggs & vanilla and stir
  5. Add in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and stir until combined, then stir in chocolate chips and nuts if using.
  6. Pour into lightly greased 8×8 pan.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes, and then test brownies with a toothpick. If the batter is wet and clinging to toothpick, they’re not done yet. Check every 2 minutes until you have a few moist crumbs on the toothpick; you’re done!
  8. Remove from oven & place pan on a wire rack to cool & then cut into squares.


*Notes* 

Recipe can be doubled, and if so, use a 9 x 13 dish. For double recipe:

  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup semisweet or milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2-1 cup chopped pecans

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup semisweet or milk chocolate chips optional
  • 1/4-1/2 cup chopped pecans optional
