Glazed Cheeseburger Sliders
This recipe is one of my favorite easy meals to prep for a crowd. They come together quickly and I always get asked for the recipe! The glaze is the best part. Don’t skip it! It’s what takes these from regular sliders that get left on the party table to the BEST little burgers ever. No leftovers!
These sliders are totally customizable. If you aren’t in the mood for a burger, try another version! Sub in your favorite deli or sandwich meat and cheese. Use the same glaze and baking instructions and you’ve got a fantastic quick dish!
Glazed Cheeseburger Sliders
Perfect for a party or to feed a crowd!
Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef or venison
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- Any extra seasoning you like for burgers
- 1 onion diced
- Minced garlic to taste (I use around 1-2 tsp)
- 1 can of Rotel or diced tomatoes
- 12 slices of sharp cheddar cheese or your favorite cheese
- 1 package of slider buns 12 rolls
Glaze & Topping
- 1/2 cup (8 tablespoons) salted butter
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds-optional
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and coat 9×13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
- Place a large skillet on the stovetop over medium-high heat. Add meat, seasonings, and onions and cook until meat is browned and onions are golden. (We aren’t making patties here, you want the meat to be crumbled.) Stir in drained tomatoes and garlic until well combined.
- Place bottom half of buns in prepared pan. Top with skillet mixture and then layer on sliced cheese. Finish off with the top half of the bun.
- In a microwave safe bowl, melt the butter. Add in remaining glaze ingredients minus the sesame seeds and whisk until smooth and combined. Pour over the buns & top with sesame seeds.
- Cover the dish and let sit for 10 minutes for the glaze to absorb.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 10-15 minutes (or until the cheese is melted and the tops of the buns are lightly toasted; watch carefully, each oven is different.)
Notes
For a spicy burger, use Rotel or similar. If you aren’t a fan of spicy food, I recommend using a can of diced tomatoes.
For burger seasonings, I like Southern Flavor or Gunpowder seasoning. Feel free to use your favorite!
